Looks complicated to prepare, huh? We are going to break it down into simple steps to make this cute cake. We will start with preparing a chocolate sponge cake and make the bears with a cookie cutter, then place the bears in the baking dish filled with the poundcake mixture.

Ingredients for bears:
✔️4 separate eggs
✔️¼ cup of sugar
✔️⅛ cup of corn starch
✔️⅛ cup of wheat flour
✔️½ teaspoon baking powder

Ingredients for Pound cake:
✔️1 ½ cup of wheat flour
✔️2 eggs, separated
✔️¾ cup of sugar
✔️2 teaspoons of baking powder
✔️½ cup of butter
✔️½ cup of milk
✔️1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
✔️1 teaspoon lemon zest

How to prepare:
For bears 🐻
1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / 350ºF.
2. Beat the whites until stiff, add the sugar little by little and then the yolks.
3. Aside, sift together the corn starch, flour and baking powder.
4. Add to the previous preparation and mix well.
5. Pour the mixture on a shallow baking sheet, previously greased and floured (Preferably use a silicone blanket).
6. Bake for 20 minutes or until light brown.
7. Unmold and cut the bears with a cutter and place in the poundcake mold previously greased and floured with the head down.

For the Poundcake 🍰
1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC / 350ºF.
2. Beat the whites until stiff, add the yolks and sugar little by little.
3. Then add milk and butter.
4. Finally, sift the flour with the baking powder and continue beating at medium speed.
5. Add vanilla and lemon zest.
6. Place in the poundcake mold and bake until the surface is golden brown.
